As a powerful episode of CSI:NY comes to an end - that annoying "warning" marquee that usually just gets in the way of that anticipated scene actually caught my eye.  Perhaps it was those three initials that scare the bejeezus out of everyone: CDC, or maybe I was just feeling extra attentive. Either way - the Atlanta branch of the CDC think the swine flu may have made it to Atlanta.  They are investigating it now - but I mean really?

Can they verify these things first... then let us know?  Can we identify this presumed swine and then make an announcement?  Is that really too much to ask?  This whole "rumor" started when nosey Atlantans found out that a "sample" of the swine flu was flown into Atlanta for testing. You know we folk here in Atlanta are paranoid anyway.  We don't even go to work in the rain! Next thing you know - everyone in Atlanta will become vegetarians, for fear of eating pork.
